Schedule two days of client work by deadline
- For Freelancers and creators
- You practice Catching mistakes and made-up facts
- Time about 5 minutes
About this exercise
You have two working days and five tasks. Write exactly 5 numbered lines in the order you'll do them, earliest deadline first (ties in any order), each like '1. Tue 9:00-11:00 Task (due ...)'. Days run 9:00-17:00 with lunch 12:00-13:00, and tasks run back to back. One client extended a deadline this morning, so use the new date. Plain text, under 90 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Missing the extension. The list says Tuesday 5pm for Mossgrove, and the AI rushes it. Try: Add: "Mossgrove moved to Wed 17:00."
- Ignoring lunch. The AI schedules straight through noon. Try: Add: "Lunch 12:00-13:00, no work."
- Wrong order. The AI orders by size or client, not by deadline. Try: Add: "Earliest deadline first."
- A to-do list without times. The AI lists tasks with tips but no time blocks, in markdown. Try: Show it: "1. Tue 9:00-10:00 Alder Bank subject lines (due Tue 12:00)". Plain text.
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting words, so a total word cap usually lands over. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 14 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Sorts by deadline
- Uses the extension
- Blocks lunch
