Pull sourced facts about a prospective client before a pitch
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're pitching photography services to a boutique hotel and gathered notes about it. You want exactly 3 numbered facts you can use in your pitch, each under 15 words and ending with its source in parentheses, like "(hotel website)". Use only facts from named sources, skip gossip and anything your notes mark as unconfirmed, and output nothing else in plain text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Including gossip. The AI treats every note as usable, so a rumor about a sale can end up in your pitch prep. Try: Say: "Only facts from named sources. Skip anything unconfirmed."
- Not asking for sources. Without a source on each fact, you can't tell what's safe to mention on the call. Try: Show it: "End each fact with its source, like (hotel website)."
- Getting a pitch script. The AI turns your notes into talking points and an opener you didn't ask for. Try: Say: "Output only the 3 facts."
- Not saying how many. The AI decides the length itself and usually returns more facts than you can use. Try: Be exact: "exactly 3 numbered facts."
- Getting markdown back. AI defaults to bold labels and headings, which show up as stray symbols in your call notes. Try: Ask for "plain text, no bold, no headings."
