Pick continuing education courses that count for your license
Practice: Setting limits and rules. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Your RN license renews Jan 31 and you still need 6 contact hours from approved providers. From 5 courses you saved, you want exactly 2 numbered picks that come from an approved provider, finish before Jan 31, and add up to at least 6 hours, each with its hours and provider. End with a line "Total: N hours". Use only your notes, plain text, nothing else.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not stating the board rules. The AI picks courses that sound useful, like the free webinar or the de-escalation session. Try: Say: "Approved provider only, finished before Jan 31."
- Trusting the coworker. Your notes say everyone uses the MedForms webinar, so the AI may count it. Try: Add: "Only providers my notes mark board-approved."
- Getting a long explanation. The AI explains every course's pros and cons and buries the 2 picks. Try: Say: "Output only the 2 picks and the total."
- Not saying how many. The AI decides the length itself and usually returns more picks than you can use. Try: Be exact: "exactly 2 numbered picks."
- Getting markdown back. AI defaults to bold labels and headings, which show up as stray symbols in your renewal checklist. Try: Ask for "plain text, no bold, no headings."
