Build a competitor battlecard from dated notes
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You're prepping a one-glance battlecard against Ledgerly for your team. You want exactly 4 numbered lines, one each for price, contract term, support hours and onboarding, in the form "Topic: us X | Ledgerly Y", each using the newest source in your notes. If your notes don't cover Ledgerly on a topic, write "Ledgerly: unknown". Plain text, nothing else.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using an old screenshot. Both prices are in your notes, and the AI may pick the first one, from 2024. Try: Say: "Use the newest source for each topic."
- Filling gaps with gossip. The Reddit comment is the only onboarding note, so the AI may use it as fact. Try: Add: "If there's no official source, write Ledgerly: unknown."
- Getting a sales script. The AI adds talk tracks and objection handling, which makes the card long. Try: Say: "Output only the 4 lines."
- Not saying how many. The AI decides the length itself and usually returns more lines, one per topic than you can use. Try: Be exact: "exactly 4 numbered lines, one per topic."
- Getting markdown back. AI defaults to bold labels and headings, which show up as stray symbols in the sales wiki. Try: Ask for "plain text, no bold, no headings."
