Post a Friday pipeline digest in Slack in four lines
- For Revenue operations
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write a Friday pipeline digest for #sales-leadership in plain text with exactly 4 lines starting "Created:", "Closed won:", "Slipped:" and "Watch:". No emoji and no bold. Under 70 words. Each number comes from the report; add up the two closed deals for Closed won and show the sum.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Counting the reverted deal. The AI adds Pike Hardware to closed won. Try: Add: "Do not count deals that were reverted."
- No sum shown. The AI states the total only. Try: Add: "Show the sum for Closed won."
- Extra Slack styling. The AI adds emoji and bold. Try: Add: "Plain text, no emoji, no bold."
- Too long. The AI writes a long digest. Try: Add: "Under 70 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Lists the four labels
- Asks for the sum
- Excludes the reverted deal
- Bans emoji and bold
- Limits length
