Flag reps under 3x pipeline coverage in a table
- For Revenue operations
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Make a markdown table with columns Rep | Remaining quota | Open pipeline | Coverage | Flag, one row per rep. Coverage is open pipeline divided by remaining quota, rounded to one decimal and written like 2.4x. Flag is Low if coverage is under 3.0x and OK otherwise. Count only pipeline closing this quarter. Under 120 words, and sort the rows from lowest coverage to highest.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Counting next-year pipeline. The AI adds Q1 2027 pipeline to coverage. Try: Add: "Count only pipeline closing this quarter."
- Using full quota. The AI divides by quota instead of remaining quota. Try: Add: "Coverage = open pipeline divided by quota minus closed won."
- Dividing by zero. The AI shows an error or infinity for Chen. Try: Add: "Show N/A for a rep already at quota."
- Wrong order or extra text. The AI keeps the original order and adds commentary. Try: Add: "Sort lowest to highest coverage; only the table."
What a strong prompt includes

- Defines coverage
- Limits to this quarter
