Write a three-question quota FAQ that routes individual cases away
- For Managers and team leads
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Write an FAQ for managers with exactly 3 pairs, "Q: ..." then "A: ..." on the next line, each answer under 24 words. Answer only from the policy. For any question about a specific person's case or outcome, the answer must be exactly "Ask HR and Finance." Do not predict whether any request will be approved. Plain text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Predicting the outcome. The AI says Priya's quota will likely be reduced. Try: Add: "For one person's case, answer: Ask HR and Finance."
- Missing thresholds. The AI gives generic eligibility. Try: Add: "Use the 30-day and 20% thresholds."
- Discussing the medical leave. The AI comments on her situation. Try: Add: "Don't discuss anyone's medical circumstances."
- Long answers. The AI writes paragraphs. Try: Add: "Each answer under 24 words, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets Q/A format
- Uses the thresholds
- Gives the exact fallback
- Bans predictions
- Limits length
