About this exercise
Rewrite the four CRM error messages so a rep can act on them. Write exactly 4 numbered lines in the same order. Message 1 starts with "Set", message 2 with "Add", message 3 with "Get" and message 4 with "Check". Each is 15 words or fewer, says what to do, uses no field codes, symbols or IDs, and doesn't blame the user (no "invalid", "error" or "you forgot"). Under 80 words in total.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Keeping technical codes. The AI keeps CloseDate, Next_Step__c or the ID. Try: Add: "No field codes, symbols or IDs."
- Blaming wording. The AI writes 'Invalid close date' or 'You forgot a next step'. Try: Add: "Do not use invalid, error or 'you forgot'."
- No action. The AI restates the problem without a fix. Try: Add: "Each message says what to do."
- Wrong count or length. The AI adds explanations and extra messages. Try: Add: "Exactly 4 numbered lines, 15 words or fewer each, under 80 words."
What a strong prompt includes
