About this exercise
Write a prompt that turns the internal procedure into a checklist for the support team. Plain text, first line exactly "Request checklist - PRV-07 v3", then exactly seven lines starting "- [ ]", one per step in procedure order. Each line ends with the role in parentheses and includes any timing, and stays under 15 words. Use the current version only. No other text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old 45 days. AI mentions v2 or blends the timing. Try: Say: "Use v3 only; Step 6 is 30 days."
- Missing roles or timings. AI shortens the steps and drops who and when. Try: Say: "End each line with the role in parentheses and include the timing."
- Adding legal commentary. AI adds advice about what the law requires. Try: Say: "No legal commentary; only the procedure."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold, headings and bullets by default, which show up as stray symbols when pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Too many bullets. AI lists everything it finds instead of stopping at your limit. Try: Say "at most N bullets, nothing else" and name the limit.
What a strong prompt includes
