About this exercise
Ruth Adeyemi, Controller, needs a short memo from fieldwork notes. Write a prompt for a memo that starts with the line "To: Ruth Adeyemi, Controller", then a markdown table Action | Owner role | Date with one row per issue, under 170 words. Use owner roles from the notes (no personal names) and write "To be agreed" for any date the notes don't state. End with the line "Management to confirm actions and dates."
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Naming individuals. AI puts Hugo Brandt or Mira Solis as owners. Try: Say: "Owner roles only, no personal names."
- Inventing dates. AI proposes deadlines the notes never mention. Try: Say: "Use a stated date, otherwise exactly 'To be agreed'."
- Missing fixed lines. AI uses its own header and a generic sign-off. Try: Quote the exact first and last lines in the prompt.
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
