Write a calendar invite description with goal, agenda and prep ask
- For Sales and customer success
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write the description for a calendar invite in plain text. Use exactly this shape: a line starting "Goal:", then "Agenda:" followed by exactly 3 dash bullets, then a line starting "Please bring:". Under 60 words, no greeting or sign-off, and use the meeting length and time zone in the notes.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old length or zone. The AI writes 60 minutes ET. Try: Add: "Use 45 minutes and CT from the final plan."
- Leaking internal notes. The AI mentions pricing or the hard reviewer. Try: Add: "No pricing or internal notes."
- Wrong shape. The AI adds a greeting and a long agenda. Try: Add: "Goal line, Agenda with 3 dash bullets, Please bring line."
- Vague prep ask. The AI says 'bring any questions'. Try: Add: "Name the checklist and the identity provider."
What a strong prompt includes
- Lists the shape
- Fixes 3 bullets
- Uses the final time
- Names the prep items
- Bans extras
