- For Sales and customer success
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write a Slack post for #deal-intel with exactly 3 lines starting "Deal:", "What was said:" and "Do:". Plain text, no emoji, no @here. Under 55 words. Quote the buyer's words only if they appear in the call notes in quotation marks; otherwise paraphrase. In Do, give one specific action with an owner and a date.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Invented quotes. The AI puts words in quotation marks that Hank never said. Try: Add: "Quote only text in the notes' quotation marks; otherwise paraphrase."
- Vague action. The AI writes 'follow up'. Try: Add: "Do names one action, an owner and a date."
- Slack clutter. The AI adds emoji, @here and headings. Try: Add: "Plain text, no emoji, no @here, 3 lines."
- Long post. The AI writes a long summary. Try: Add: "Under 55 words."
What a strong prompt includes
