- For Sales and customer success
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Write answers to the buyer's 4 IT questions in the form "Q1: Yes/No/Unknown - answer in under 15 words". Use Unknown when the security fact sheet is silent; never infer. Add a final line "Ask security team:" listing the question numbers marked Unknown. Plain text, under 110 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Inferring from chat. The AI answers Yes to the 30-day deletion from the manager's comment. Try: Add: "Use Unknown when the fact sheet is silent; never infer."
- Overstating SSO. The AI says SSO is coming soon as if available. Try: Add: "Roadmap items are No for now."
- No follow-up line. The AI forgets the Ask security team line. Try: Add: "End with Ask security team: and the Unknown numbers."
- Long answers. The AI writes paragraphs. Try: Add: "Each answer under 15 words, plain text."
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets the answer format
- Forbids inference
- Adds the follow-up line
- Limits answer length
- Plain text
