Lay out a four-week migration plan with owners on both sides
- For Sales and customer success
- You practice Asking for a format you can use
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Make a markdown table with columns Week | Milestone | Owner and exactly 4 rows (Week 1 to Week 4). Owners must come from both companies (us: Dalia or Yusuf; customer: Hal or Priya). Use the dates in the notes for the week labels, like "Week 1 (Nov 16)". The go-live in Week 4 is a target, so the Week 4 row must say "Target". No bold, nothing outside the table, under 90 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Promising go-live. The AI writes go-live Dec 7 as fixed. Try: Add: "The Week 4 row says Target; it depends on the data review."
- One-sided owners. The AI assigns everything to us. Try: Add: "Owners from both companies."
- Adding out-of-scope work. The AI adds the accounting integration. Try: Add: "Leave out what's not in scope."
- Wrong labels or extras. The AI uses 'Week 1' without dates. Try: Add: "Label like Week 1 (Nov 16); nothing outside the table."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the columns
- Uses dated labels
- Names owners from both sides
- Marks the target
- Table only
