About this exercise
Your company is raising the Pro plan from $79 to $89 a month on March 1. Write an FAQ for reps with exactly 4 Q&A pairs, each question on a line starting "Q:" and each answer on a line starting "A:" under 30 words. Use only the reasons and options in the memo, and don't claim competitors are raising prices too. Plain text, under 170 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using rep chatter. The AI repeats the unconfirmed Bookwise claim as a talking point. Try: Add: "Don't claim competitors are raising prices."
- Inventing a discount. The AI offers a loyalty discount to soften the news. Try: Add: "The only options are the annual lock and the Starter downgrade. No other discounts."
- No fixed shape. The AI writes a long doc with headings and bold questions. Try: Say: "Exactly 4 pairs. Question line starts Q:, answer line starts A:."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and runs long when you only give a total like 170 words. Try: Cap each part instead, like "each answer under 30 words," so the total lands well under 170.
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets the Q/A shape
- Names the options
- Bans the competitor claim
- Bans new discounts
- Asks for plain text
