- For Sales and customer success
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Answer RFP question 14 in plain text. Start with "Answer:" and give at most 70 words using only the current knowledge-base entry. Then add a final line starting "Needs SME review:" naming any part of the question the entry does not cover. Do not use marketing words like "best-in-class" or "seamless". Do not claim a feature the entry says is planned.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the old entry. The AI repeats '8 languages via email, SMS and push'. Try: Add: "Use only the current entry; ignore the 2024 one."
- Promoting planned features. The AI mentions push as available. Try: Add: "Do not claim planned or beta features as live."
- No gap flag. The AI writes a confident answer with no review line. Try: Add: "Final line: Needs SME review: and what isn't covered."
- Marketing tone. The AI uses glowing adjectives. Try: Add: "Plain factual tone, no marketing words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Sets the answer prefix
- Limits to the current entry
- Adds the review line
- Bans overclaiming
- Limits length
