About this exercise
Marcus Bell hasn't replied in ten days after your demo. Write one text message to him: plain text, under 40 words. Mention the shared-inbox routing he liked, end with a yes/no question, and never use the phrases "just checking in" or "circling back".
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Generic check-in. The AI writes "just checking in" because it has no detail to use. Try: Add: "Mention the shared-inbox routing he liked. Never say 'just checking in' or 'circling back'."
- Open-ended ending. The AI ends with "let me know your thoughts". Try: Add: "End with a yes/no question."
- Text that reads like an email. The AI adds a greeting block, bullets and a sign-off. Try: Add: "One plain-text text message under 40 words."
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the detail
- Asks a yes/no question
- Bans stock phrases
