About this exercise
Pinecrest Accounting is nearly out of seats. Write an email to Lena Ortiz, starting with a line "Subject:" under 8 words, that cites their real usage (47 of 50 seats) and offers the 10-seat add-on with the math shown ($25 x 10 = $250/month). There's no promotion or deadline, so don't imply one. Under 130 words, signed "Rob".
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Faking urgency. The AI picks up "prices go up in January" from your notes and uses it, but no increase exists. Try: Add: "No deadline, price increase or expiring offer."
- Using the old price. Both $22 and $25 appear; the AI may grab the wrong one. Try: Add: "Use the current price: $25 per seat, so 10 seats = $250/month."
- Vague usage. The AI says "you're growing fast" instead of the real number. Try: Add: "Cite their usage: 47 of 50 seats."
- No subject line. The AI writes the body only, or a long subject. Try: Add: "First line: Subject: under 8 words."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and runs long when you only give a total like 130 words. Try: Cap each part instead, like "each paragraph under 30 words," so the total lands well under 130.
