Make debit and credit practice from your chart of accounts
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Your Intro Accounting quiz asks which accounts to debit and credit. You want exactly 4 numbered transactions to practice on, then an 'Answers' line with each answer in the form 'Debit X / Credit Y', plain text. Use only accounts from your class chart of accounts, and make one transaction a purchase on account, the type your instructor said people miss.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not saying how many transactions. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more transactions than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 4 numbered transactions."
- Not limiting the accounts. The AI uses any accounts it knows, so you practice ones your quiz won't use. Try: Say: "Use only accounts from my chart of accounts."
- Missing the flagged type. The AI doesn't know your professor warned about purchases on account. Try: Add: "One transaction must be a purchase on account."
- Answers under each question. Seeing the answer right away means you never test yourself. Try: Add: "Put all answers at the end under 'Answers', like 'Debit Supplies / Credit Cash'."
- Forgetting where it will be read. AI formats for a screen, with bold and headings that show up as stray symbols on a printed page. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
