Make flashcards for French false friends
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Your French 2 quiz is full of words that look like English but mean something else. Make exactly 6 numbered cards in the form 'French word - looks like: English word - really means: meaning', plain text, nothing else. Use only words from Madame Okoro's list, include the 2 she starred, and use her correction for 'librairie'.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not saying how many cards. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more cards than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 6 numbered cards."
- Skipping the starred words. The AI doesn't know the stars mean 'on the quiz'. Try: Add: "Must include actuellement and assister à."
- Not showing the card shape. The AI makes a table or adds example sentences and pronunciation. Try: Show one: "rester - looks like: rest - really means: to stay".
- Missing the correction. Your wrong meaning for librairie is still on the handout. Try: Add: "librairie means bookstore, per Mme Okoro."
