Link Latin vocab to English derivatives for a quiz
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Your Latin 1 quiz asks for an English word that comes from each Latin word. Make exactly 6 numbered lines in the form 'Latin word (meaning) -> English derivative', plain text, nothing else. Use only the derivatives on Magistra Cole's list, include the 2 words she starred, and follow her correction for 'portus'.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not saying how many lines. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more lines than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 6 numbered lines."
- Skipping the starred words. The AI doesn't know the stars mean 'on the quiz'. Try: Add: "Must include aqua and silva."
- Letting it invent derivatives. The AI knows lots of real derivatives that aren't on your teacher's list, and she won't give credit for them. Try: Add: "Only derivatives from my list. Skip puella."
- Missing the correction. Your wrong derivative for portus is still in the list next to the fix. Try: Add: "For portus, use Magistra Cole's correction."
