Boil a Macbeth scene down to four plot lines
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Your English test will ask you to place key moments in Macbeth. You want Act 2, Scene 2 as exactly 4 numbered plot lines in the order they happen, each under 15 words, plain text, then the one quote Ms. Ferraro flagged, copied exactly with its speaker. Use only your class notes, including her correction about who says that line.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not saying how many plot lines. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more plot lines than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 4 numbered plot lines."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each line: "each plot line under 12 words."
- Not asking for order. The AI may group events by character or theme instead of the order they happen. Try: Add: "In the order they happen."
- Missing the correction. Your wrong speaker is still in your notes, right next to the fix. Try: Add: "Copy the flagged quote exactly and use the corrected speaker."
- Letting in outside material. The AI knows the whole play and may add the porter scene or film details. Try: Add: "Use only my class notes on Scene 2."
