Make New Deal program flashcards with the right details
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Your US History quiz asks what each New Deal program did. Make exactly 5 numbered cards in the form 'Acronym (full name): what it did', each under 18 words, plain text, nothing else. Include the 3 programs Mr. Castellano starred, use only your notes, and follow his correction about the CCC and the WPA.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not saying how many cards. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more cards than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 5 numbered cards."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each card: "each under 15 words."
- Skipping the starred programs. The AI doesn't know the stars mean 'on the quiz'. Try: Add: "Must include CCC, WPA and FDIC."
- Missing the correction. Your swapped notes are still in the material. Try: Add: "Use Mr. Castellano's correction for CCC and WPA."
- Letting in outside facts. The AI knows a lot about the New Deal and adds it. Try: Add: "Only my notes."
What a strong prompt includes
