Make a quiz on être vs. avoir in the passé composé
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
Your French 2 quiz tests which helper verb to use in the passé composé. Get exactly 5 numbered fill-in-the-blank sentences in French with the infinitive in parentheses, then all answers together under an 'Answers' line, under 110 words total, plain text. Use only verbs from Madame Okoro's list, include at least 2 être verbs, and follow her correction about agreement.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Not saying how many sentences. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more sentences than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 5 numbered sentences."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each sentence: "each under 12 words."
- Not limiting the verbs. The AI uses any verbs it knows, including reflexives you haven't learned. Try: Say: "Only the quiz verbs, at least 2 être verbs."
- Missing the correction. Your wrong note about agreement is still in the material. Try: Add: "With être, the participle agrees with the subject."
- Answers under each sentence. Seeing the answer right away means you never test yourself. Try: Add: "Put all answers at the end under 'Answers'."
What a strong prompt includes
