Condense Piaget's stages into four memory lines
Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
For your Developmental Psychology exam, you want Piaget's stages as exactly 4 numbered lines in order, each in the form 'Stage (ages): one key milestone', each under 15 words, plain text. Use the age ranges and milestones from your lecture notes, including the corrected range your professor gave, not the textbook's version.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking for an explanation. The AI writes a paragraph per stage plus criticism, which is too much to memorize. Try: Show the shape: "Stage (ages): one key milestone".
- Not saying how many lines. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more lines than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 4 numbered lines."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each line: "each line under 12 words."
- Missing the correction. The misspoken range and the fix are both in your notes. Try: Add: "Use the corrected range for preoperational (2 to 7)."
- Letting in the textbook. The AI knows the textbook version and the criticism, and your professor said to use her version. Try: Add: "Use only my lecture notes. No criticism."
What a strong prompt includes
- Says how many lines
- Shows the line shape
- Uses the correction
- Sets a length limit
- Says to use only the material
