Check your SAT reading answers against the passage

Practice: Catching mistakes and made-up facts. About 5 minutes.

About this exercise

You answered 3 SAT-style reading questions and want to know if the passage really supports your choices before you look at the key. Get exactly 3 numbered lines, each labeled exactly Supported or Not supported, followed by the sentence number from the passage that decides it in parentheses, plain text. Don't name the correct answer choice for any question you got wrong.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Asking if they're right. The AI grades them and explains the right answer, so you skip the step of finding it yourself. Try: Say: "Don't tell me the right answer. Just label each one."
  • Not giving exact labels. Without fixed labels, the AI gives long explanations instead of a clear verdict. Try: Say: "Label each exactly Supported or Not supported."
  • Not asking for the proof. A verdict without the sentence number doesn't teach you where to look. Try: Add: "Give the sentence number that decides it."
  • Not saying how many lines. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more lines than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 3 numbered lines."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Fix the shape: "label and sentence number only."
  • Forgetting where it will be read. AI formats for a screen, with bold and headings that show up as stray symbols in your notes. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
