Condense AP Psych sleep stages into memory lines

Practice: Keeping the AI to your sources. About 5 minutes.

About this exercise

Your AP Psychology quiz covers the sleep cycle. Get exactly 4 numbered lines in order, each in the form 'Stage: brain waves | key feature', each under 15 words, plain text. Use only your notes, including Mr. Lambert's correction about where dreaming happens.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Asking for an explanation. The AI writes paragraphs on sleep science, not lines you can memorize. Try: Show the shape: "Stage: brain waves | key feature".
  • Not saying how many lines. The AI picks its own number, and it usually picks more lines than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 4 numbered lines."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each line: "each under 12 words."
  • Missing the correction. Your wrong note about dreaming is still in the material. Try: Add: "Vivid dreams are in REM, per Mr. Lambert."
  • Adding extras. The AI may add an awake stage or sleep disorders. Try: Add: "Only the 4 sleep stages from my notes."

What a strong prompt includes

  • Says how many stages
  • Shows the line shape
  • Uses the correction
  • Sets a length limit
  • Says to use only the material
