Build a five-session finals plan around your free blocks
- For College students
- You practice Giving the right context
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Plan finals prep as a markdown table with columns Day, Time and Subject: exactly 5 sessions of 90 minutes each, inside the free blocks only, nothing on Thursday. Label each subject's last session 'Review'. Plain text otherwise, under 110 words total.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using time you don't have. The AI invents evening hours outside your free blocks. Try: Say: "Only use the free blocks listed. Nothing on Thursday."
- Missing the moved exam. The old Thursday date is still on the syllabus. Try: Add: "Statistics is Friday Dec 12 at 1 pm."
- No table shape. Without exact columns you get a long paragraph. Try: Say: "A table with columns Day, Time, Subject, exactly 5 rows."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each part: "each line under 12 words."
- Forgetting where it's going. AI formats for a screen, with bold and headings that show up as stray symbols. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
What a strong prompt includes
