Practice telling German clock times with Q and A lines
- For High school students
- You practice Showing an example of what you want
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Get exactly 4 lines in the form 'Q: [time] A: [German phrase]' for the practice times 2:30, 4:15, 4:45 and 6:10, in that order, with answers written the way your teacher teaches. Plain text, under 70 words. Don't add anything else.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using your wrong note. Your note says halb vier is 4:30. Try: Add: "halb means half way to the next hour, per Frau Becker."
- Adding explanations. The AI explains each answer and adds more times. Try: Say: "Exactly 4 lines. Nothing else."
- Wrong line shape. Without the Q: and A: pattern you get a lesson. Try: Say: "Each line: Q: [time] A: [German]"
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each part: "each line under 12 words."
- Forgetting where it's going. AI formats for a screen, with bold and headings that show up as stray symbols. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
What a strong prompt includes
- Lists the four times
- Gives the line shape
