About this exercise

Get a short script for class: exactly 6 lines alternating Cliente: and Gelataio: starting with Cliente:, each line in Italian followed by its English meaning in parentheses. Use only words and phrases from your unit and the price from your teacher's list. Plain text, under 130 words.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Using your wrong price. Your note says 4 euro. Try: Add: "Two scoops cost tre euro e cinquanta."
  • Going beyond the unit. The AI uses past tense and phrases you haven't learned. Try: Say: "Only phrases from my unit."
  • No script shape. Without speaker labels and English you can't practice with a partner. Try: Say: "6 lines alternating Cliente: and Gelataio:, English in parentheses."
  • Missing a natural flow. The lines don't build a real order. Try: Add: "Greeting, flavor, price, goodbye."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each part: "each line under 12 words."
  • Forgetting where it's going. AI formats for a screen, with bold and headings that show up as stray symbols. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."

What a strong prompt includes

  • Names the speakers
  • Says how many lines
  • Adds the English meaning
  • Stays in the unit
  • Uses the price correction
