About this exercise

Get exactly 5 numbered fill-in-the-blank sentences in romaji with [blank] where the particle goes, each followed by its English meaning in parentheses. Then a line that says only 'Answers' and the 5 particles. Use only words from your vocab list and your class's spelling. Plain text, under 110 words.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Using textbook romaji. The AI writes the object particle as wo, which your teacher marks wrong. Try: Add: "Write the object particle as o, not wo."
  • Letting in new words. The AI adds vocabulary you haven't learned. Try: Say: "Only use words from my vocab list. No negatives, no past tense."
  • Answers inline. The answer sits right in the sentence, so there is nothing to test. Try: Say: "Use [blank] for the particle and put answers after an Answers line."
  • Not saying how many questions. The AI picks its own number, and it usually writes more than you need. Try: Be exact: "Exactly 5 numbered questions."
  • Forgetting where it's going. AI formats for a screen, with bold and headings that show up as stray symbols. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
  • Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each part: "each line under 12 words."
