Plan one study task per weekday around work and class
- For College students
- You practice Giving the right context
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Plan Monday to Friday with exactly 5 lines starting Mon:, Tue:, Wed:, Thu: and Fri:, each naming one task and a time inside your free slot, under 85 words, plain text. On a day with no free slot write 'No study time.' Finish every task before its deadline.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Ignoring the work shift. The AI puts a task on Tuesday evening anyway. Try: Say: "Tuesday has no free slot: write No study time."
- Wrong order. The AI puts Chapter 8 reading after the quiz. Try: Add: "Finish every task before its deadline."
- No fixed line shape. Without Mon to Fri labels you get a paragraph. Try: Say: "Exactly 5 lines starting Mon:, Tue:, Wed:, Thu:, Fri:"
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total and it often lands 20% over. Try: Cap each part: "each line under 12 words."
- Forgetting where it's going. AI formats for a screen, with bold and headings that show up as stray symbols. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
What a strong prompt includes
- Asks for five day lines
- Uses the free slots
- Handles Tuesday
- Mentions the deadlines
- Limits the length
