Make Anki cloze cards you can paste straight in
Practice: Showing an example of what you want. About 5 minutes.
About this exercise
You use Anki for Anatomy & Physiology and want cards on blood flow through the heart that you can paste straight in. Anki's cloze format looks like this: The {{c1::right atrium}} receives blood from the body. Get exactly 6 cards, one sentence per line, each with exactly one cloze deletion in that format, plain text with no numbers, bullets or other text. Include a card on the pulmonary artery, which your professor flagged, and use only your notes with her correction.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Describing the format in words. "Make Anki cards" usually gets Front/Back pairs, which won't import as cloze cards. Try: Paste one real example line: "The {{c1::tricuspid valve}} sits between the right atrium and right ventricle."
- Not saying how many cards. The AI turns every line of your notes into a card, with headings and numbering on top. Try: Add: "Exactly 6 cards, one sentence each, nothing else."
- Missing the correction. The wrong slide quote is still in your notes, and the AI may turn it into a card you'll memorize. Try: Add: "One card: the pulmonary artery carries deoxygenated blood to the lungs."
- Letting off-topic facts in. The AI adds the SA node or heart sounds because they're in your notes or its memory, not because they're on the quiz. Try: Add: "Blood flow only, only facts from my notes."
What a strong prompt includes
- Shows an example card
- Says how many cards
- Mentions the pulmonary artery
- Keeps it to blood flow
- Asks for nothing extra
