About this exercise
Write a memo for the CFO with exactly three headings in order: Verified results, Cost, ROI. Verified results use only numbers confirmed by the customer's own team. Show the math in ROI like "15 x 52 x $40 = $31,200". Say clearly that the vendor's 25-hour claim is excluded. Plain text, under 110 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the vendor claim. The AI uses 25 hours since it looks more impressive. Try: Say: "Use only the customer's verified 15 hours."
- Including anecdotes. The AI adds the error-rate and happier-customers claims. Try: Say: "Leave out anything without data."
- Skipping the math. The AI states a saving with no working. Try: Ask: "Show the multiplication and the subtraction."
- Wrong layout. The AI adds extra sections. Try: Name the three headings.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
What a strong prompt includes

- Sets a length limit
