About this exercise
Explain the invoice difference to the customer's finance lead in exactly three lines starting "Quote:", "Added seats:" and "Invoice:". Show each as math. The added seats are prorated by days in the month. Plain text, under 60 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Charging the full month. The AI charges 5 x $90 = $450 for the added seats. Try: Say: "Prorate by days: 15 of 30."
- Blaming the admin. The notes name Lars. Try: Add: "Do not blame anyone; say the invoice follows the added seats."
- No math or wrong layout. The AI writes a paragraph. Try: Name the three labels and show each as math.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
