About this exercise

Rewrite the draft as a short note from Aaron to Hannah. Start with "Hi Hannah," and end with "Aaron". Open the body with the ask in the first sentence: a 30-minute call, offering both time slots. Then give the two verified facts, one sentence each, and drop all hype words. Plain text, under 80 words.

Common mistakes when you ask AI for this

  • Keeping the ROI guess. The AI keeps the 5x ROI because it sounds impressive. Try: Say: "Keep only the two verified numbers; no ROI."
  • Keeping the hype. The AI softens but keeps words like amazing. Try: Say: "Drop all hype words and exclamation marks."
  • Burying the ask. The AI puts the ask last, or ends with "let me know". Try: Say: "Open with the ask: a 30-minute call, offering both slots."
  • Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
  • Trusting the AI to count words. The AI runs long and cannot count its own words. Try: Cap each part ("each line under 12 words") and add "under N words in total".
