Answer four admin questions from release notes only
- For Customer success managers
- You practice Keeping the AI to your sources
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Answer the four admin questions using only the release notes. Output 4 pairs of lines labeled "Q1:" then "A1:" through "Q4:" and "A4:". Each answer is under 20 words. If the notes do not say, the answer is exactly "Not announced". Plain text, no intro or sign-off.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Inventing a Slack answer. The AI guesses that notifications exist or are coming. Try: Say: "If the notes do not say, answer exactly Not announced."
- Promising a planned item. The AI says field-level permissions are coming in Q1. Try: Say: "Planned is not a commitment; say not in this release, planned for Q1."
- Mixing up plans and limits. The AI blends Business, Starter and Enterprise details or rounds the role limit. Try: Say: "Give the exact limit and plans as written in the notes."
- Dropping the Q labels. The AI merges questions and answers into prose. Try: Say: "Use Q1:/A1: through Q4:/A4: lines."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. The AI runs long and cannot count its own words. Try: Cap each part ("each line under 12 words") and add "under N words in total".
What a strong prompt includes
