Price a seat reduction with the lower volume tier
- For Executives
- You practice Catching mistakes and made-up facts
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Advanced
About this exercise
Compare the customer's current plan with their requested reduction in exactly four lines starting "Today:", "At 45 seats:", "Saving:" and "Effective:". Show the math, like "60 x $30 = $1,800 per month". Use the right per-seat tier price for each seat count. Plain text, under 60 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Keeping the $30 price. The AE comment keeps the lower tier price for 45 seats. Try: Say: "Use the tier price: $34 for 25 to 49 seats."
- Missing the effective date. The AI says the saving starts now. Try: Say: "Effective: at renewal on Mar 31."
- No working. The AI states results without math. Try: Say: "Show the math on each line."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
