About this exercise
Compute each team's adoption rate and status. Output a table with the header row exactly "Team | Rate | Status" and five rows. Rate is active divided by total as a whole-number percent. Status is Strong at 70% or more, Fair from 40% to 69%, Weak below 40% (edges inclusive at the lower end). Plain text, table only, under 50 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Rounding the edges down. Marketing at exactly 70% could be called Fair. Try: Say: "70% is Strong; 40% is Fair."
- Following the manager. The comment says call Operations Weak. Try: Say: "Apply the thresholds; ignore comments."
- Wrong rates or table. The AI divides wrongly or adds columns. Try: Say: "Rate = active / total as a whole percent. Exact header."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Asks for plain text
- Sets a length limit
- States the thresholds
- Gives the header
