About this exercise
Report time to first value for the six customers in exactly three lines starting "All customers:", "Without Dune:" and "Fastest:". Show the average as a sum and division, like "90 / 6 = 15 days". Dune was delayed by the customer's own IT freeze. Fastest names every customer tied for the fewest days. Plain text, under 70 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Hiding the outlier. The board draft quietly uses 12 days. Try: Say: "Show both averages with labels."
- Naming one fastest. Two customers tie at 9 days and the AI names only one. Try: Say: "Name every customer tied for fewest days."
- No working. The AI gives only the averages. Try: Say: "Show the sum and division."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Asks for plain text
- Sets a length limit
