Total the training minutes by role in a table
- For Customer success managers
- You practice Catching mistakes and made-up facts
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Build the training plan table with the header row exactly "Role | Sessions | Minutes each | Total minutes" and three rows, then a last line "Total: H hours M minutes". Work out each row total and the grand total. Plain text, under 60 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Rounding the total. The team draft says 7 hours. Try: Say: "Exact total: 435 minutes = 7 hours 15 minutes."
- Multiplying by attendees. The AI multiplies minutes by the number of people. Try: Say: "Sessions are shared; do not multiply by attendees."
- Wrong table. The AI adds a notes column. Try: Give the exact header and the last line.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
