Report contact-reason shares after removing spam
- For Customer support teams
- You practice Catching mistakes and made-up facts
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Report the week's contact reasons for the director, Hana. Remove the spam tickets first. Write exactly five lines: "Billing:", "Login:", "Shipping:", "Other:" and "Excluded:". Each reason line is formatted like "Billing: 180 of 400 (45%)". The Excluded line gives the spam count. Plain text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using the export total. The analyst note says to use 450, and the AI follows it. Try: Say: "Remove spam first. Base is 400."
- Dropping the excluded line. The AI hides the 50 removed tickets. Try: Add: "Excluded: 50 spam."
- Wrong layout. The AI writes a table or paragraph. Try: Name the five labels and the line format.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
