Audit whether five delay credits were applied consistently
- For Managers and team leads
- You practice Catching mistakes and made-up facts
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Intermediate
About this exercise
Output a table with the header "Ticket | Credit due | Credit given | Consistent?" and five rows, then a last line "Review: T#, T#" listing the tickets that need a second look. Do not mention agent names. Plain text, under 80 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Treating 3 days as late. The AI credits T3 because it's 'about 3 days'. Try: Say: "More than 3 days; exactly 3 gets no credit."
- Naming agents. The AI adds who handled each ticket. Try: Say: "Do not mention agent names."
- Wrong format. The AI writes prose findings. Try: Give the header and the last-line format.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Gives the header
- States the threshold
- Bans names
- Asks for plain text
- Sets a length limit
