About this exercise
Output two lines: "Missing:" followed by the required fields that are blank, "TBD", "unknown" or missing, separated by semicolons (or "none"), and "Ready to send:" followed by Yes or No. Use the field names exactly as in the required list. Plain text, under 50 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Treating TBD as filled. The AI passes the TBD field. Try: Say: "TBD and unknown count as missing."
- Inventing missing fields. The AI adds fields not required. Try: Say: "Use only the required field names."
- Wrong layout. The AI writes a paragraph. Try: Name the two lines.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the two lines
- Counts TBD and unknown as missing
- Asks for exact field names
- Asks for plain text
- Sets a length limit
