About this exercise
Review the KB draft against the release note. Output exactly four checklist lines, each formatted "[ ] "quoted phrase" -> fix". Quote the exact words from the draft that are wrong or unclear. List the most serious problem first. Plain text, under 90 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Rewriting the whole article. The AI produces a new article instead of a checklist. Try: Say: "Four checklist lines only: quote, arrow, fix."
- Missing the UI changes. The AI fixes grammar and misses the renamed button. Try: Say: "Check every step against the release note."
- Paraphrasing the problem. The AI summarizes issues instead of quoting. Try: Say: "Quote the exact words from the draft."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Asks for plain text
- Sets a length limit
- Shows the line format
- Uses the release note
