- Level Advanced
About this exercise
Write the shift handoff to Aoife in exactly three lines starting "Deadline:", "Owner now:" and "Do first:". The Deadline line gives the customer's local time and the converted times for Dublin and Singapore, like "Tue Nov 10, 9:00 AM New York (2:00 PM Dublin, 10:00 PM Singapore)". Use the offsets in the notes. Plain text, under 90 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Using Wei's wrong time. The note treats 9 AM as Dublin time. Try: Say: "The deadline is 9:00 AM New York = 2:00 PM Dublin."
- Wrong offsets. The AI mixes up the direction of the conversion. Try: Say: "Use the offsets given: NY -5, Dublin 0, Singapore +8."
- Missing the first action. The AI lists the status and no action. Try: Say: "Do first: chase Pat for sign-off."
- Wrong layout. The AI writes a paragraph. Try: Name the three labels.
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
What a strong prompt includes
