- For Executives

About this exercise
Write three lines for Sofia, the director, starting "Reported:", "Corrected:" and "Caveat:". Show the arithmetic as met tickets out of closed tickets and the percentage, compare the corrected figure with the 90% target, and make the caveat one sentence. Plain text, under 80 words.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Counting the open tickets. The AI uses 220 as the base. Try: Say: "Use closed tickets only: 200."
- Missing the caveat. The AI presents 95% as final. Try: Say: "The caveat says the correction is manual and unreviewed."
- Not showing arithmetic. The AI gives only percentages. Try: Say: "Show 172 + 18 = 190 of 200."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Names the three labels
