About this exercise
Score each draft on C1 to C3 with Y or N, then pick one. Output exactly four lines: "A: C1 Y, C2 N, C3 Y" (using your scores), "B: ..." in the same form, "Send: A" or "Send: B" or "Send: neither", and "Reason:" in one sentence under 20 words. C1 and C2 are must-pass; send the draft that passes both. Plain text.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Picking the draft with an offer. The AI prefers A because it passes C3. Try: Say: "C1 and C2 are must-pass."
- Missing the blame in A. The AI scores C2 Y for A. Try: Say: "Check each criterion strictly against the draft."
- Long reason. The AI writes a paragraph. Try: Say: "Reason is one sentence under 20 words."
- Getting markdown back. AI adds bold and headings by default, which show up as stray symbols where this is pasted. Try: Say "plain text, no bold, no headings, no asterisks".
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting and usually runs long, so a vague "keep it short" lands well over the limit. Try: Cap each part instead of the total, for example "each line under 15 words".
What a strong prompt includes
- Gives the line forms
- Says C1 and C2 are must-pass
- Limits the reason
- Asks for plain text
- Sets a length limit
