- For HR and recruiting
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Beginner
About this exercise
Write the email to Ana in plain text, under 90 words. First line exactly: Subject: Documents to bring on Monday. List the three documents on separate lines starting with "- ". Say where to bring them and the time. Do not ask for a Social Security number, bank details or any other sensitive information by email. Last line exactly: See you Monday, Hana. HR reviews before sending.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Asking for numbers. The AI asks her to email her SSN or account number. Try: Say: "Do not ask for sensitive information by email."
- Listing unneeded items. The AI includes the offer letter and W-4. Try: Say: "Only what she needs to bring: the passport and the voided check."
- Exact lines. The AI writes its own subject and sign-off. Try: Say: "First and last lines exactly as given."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
- Markdown. The AI bolds words or adds headings. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
