Anonymize survey comments before sharing with the team
- For HR and recruiting
- You practice Setting limits and rules
- Time about 5 minutes
- Level Advanced
About this exercise
Rewrite each of the five survey comments so no one can be identified, in plain text, one per line, starting with the comment letter (A to E) and a colon. Keep the meaning and the main complaint or praise. Remove names, specific dates, product or client names, job titles that point to one person, and the shift or team when it points to one person. Each rewrite is under 25 words. Do not soften or add anything. HR reviews before sharing.
Common mistakes when you ask AI for this
- Leaving identifiers. The AI keeps 'Boston claims desk' or 'Tomas'. Try: Say: "Remove names, dates, clients, locations and any detail that points to one person."
- Softening. The AI makes complaints gentler. Try: Say: "Keep the meaning; do not soften or add."
- Dropping a comment. The AI skips C or merges lines. Try: Say: "Exactly five lines labeled A: to E: in order."
- Trusting the AI to count words. AI is bad at counting. Ask for a total word limit and it often lands over it. Try: Cap each part instead, for example: "each line under 15 words."
- Markdown. The AI bolds words or adds headings. Try: Say: "Plain text, no bold, no headings."
